A delicious salad dressing base with four scumptious flavour options, for quick & easy to make healthy meals that everyone will enjoy!
Materials List
- A bowl
- A whisk
- A garlic press
- Measuring cups and spoons
Ingredients
- 2 garlic cloves, crushed
- 1 tbsp of Dijon mustard (or less, to your taste)
- 1 egg yolk
- ¼ cup of red wine vinegar (or less for a thicker texture
- ¾ cup of olive oil
- Salt & pepper, to taste
- Essential oils of your choice (refer to Preparation)
Preparation
- Crush the garlic cloves in the bowl.
- Add the Dijon mustard, the egg yolk and the red wine vinegar, then whisk.
- Slowly add the olive oil while thoroughly whisking.
- Add salt & pepper.
DILL FLAVOUR:
- Add 8 to 10 drops of Dill essential oil, whisk well.
- Serving suggestions : with chick peas & bocconcini cheese, or with nordic shrimps & mesclun.
LEMON FLAVOUR:
- Add 10 to 15 drops of Lemon essential oil, whisk well.
- Serving suggestions : with romaine lettuce, grilled prosciutto, parmesan, bread croutons & capers.
GINGER FLAVOUR:
- Add 15 to 20 drops of Ginger essential oil, whisk well.
- Serving suggestions : with carrot salad, shallots, dried cranberries and sesame seeds.
ORANGE FLAVOUR:
- Add 15 to 20 drops os Sweet Orange essential oil, whisk well.
- Serving suggestions : with spinach, pomegranate, clementines & Grenoble walnuts.
Precautions & recommendations
- Always start the recipe with the minimum suggested essential oil quantity, then add one drop at a time until the desired taste is achieved.
- Keep refrigerated.
- Ready in less than 10 minutes.
- Gives about 1 ½ cup.
