Top 5 Essential Oils To Have At Work!

1. Petitgrain – Bitter Orange For Nerve Calming

Petitgrain essential oil is used in aromatherapy for nerve calming.

It’s fresh and floral aroma is soothing, nerve calming and helps concentration. Breathe out of a phial; diffuse in a small diffuser or rub a few drops on a tissue to make the most of its benefits. To prolong the effect, mix a few drops (1-5) in 1/2 teaspoon of vegetable oil and apply on the inner wrists.  For nerve calming, also choose Lavender – Hybrid Super, Orange – Sweet or Frankincense from India or Somalia.

2. Tea Tree As An Antiseptic

Tea Tree essential oil is used as a germicide antiseptic to relieve minor skin irritations and abrasions.

Mix with Aloe gel to obtain a homemade antibacterial gel in a few minutes. Always handy to have around, Tea Tree essential oil is ideal to disinfect your desk top, telephone, computer keyboard and your mouse. Apply 1 drop directly on unwanted pimples to quickly see them disappear. You may also choose Palmarosa and Lavender – Spike as disinfectant.

3. Peppermint For Digestion

Peppermint essential oil is traditionally used in herbal remedies to help relieve nausea and vomiting.

It is an essential oil to have on hand. Take 1 to 4 drops mixed in 1/2 teaspoon (2.5 ml) of vegetable cooking oil (e.g. olive oil) to relieve digestive discomfort or nausea. If necessary, repeat 2 to 3 times daily.

4. Spruce, Invigorating & Toning

Spruce – Black essential oil is used in aromatherapy as a nerve tonic and to help relieve joint and muscle pain associated with sprains, strains and rheumatoid arthritis.

You have a long day and you lack energy? Spruce – Black essential oil is the solution you need! Its fresh and resinous aroma will invigorate your day. A few drops on a tissue or in a diffuser and there you have it! For a prolonged effect and topical use, mix 1 to 2 drops in 1/2 teaspoon (2.5 ml) of vegetable oil and massage the back at the adrenal cortex. Thyme – Linalool, Thyme – Red and Basil – Exotic may also be a good solution for an invigorating and tonic effect.

5. Lemon, Fresh And Purifying

Lemon essential oil is used in aromatherapy to relief symptoms of cold and flu.

When early symptoms of cold or flu appear, a few drops of lemon essential oil (4 to 12 drops) in a diffuser, or in a bowl of hot water or better, yet, on a tissue, then inhale. Lemon essential oil purifies the ambient air in addition to relieving colds in its early stage.  Also, keep in mind Eucalyptus – Blue Gum, Ravintsara and Lime (Sour Lime).
