LOTION FOR OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES

Take full advantage of your outdoor activities with this blend of organic essential oils!  These two simple spray lotion recipes are effective against nature's annoyances. 

 

RECIPE NO. 1 WITH ETHYL ALCOHOL

Materials List


 

  • A Blue PETE Plastic Bottle 120 ml + White Sprayer 20/410
  • One teaspoon 

 

Ingredients


 

  •  15 drops of Lavender Fine Essential Oil
  •  15 drops of Geranium Bourbon Essential Oil
  •  15 drops of Peppermint Essential Oil
  •  15 drops of Lemon Eucalyptus or Citronella Ceylon Essential Oil
  •  ½ tsp Vegetable Glycerin (2.5ml) 
  •  100 ml of 70% ethyl rubbing alcohol 

 

Preparation


 

  •  Pour the 70% alcohol into the 120ml bottle.
  •  Add the essential oils.
  •  Add the Vegetable Glycerin.
  •  Close with a spray bottle and shake well before use.

 

Precautions and recommandations


 

Apply *ONLY to the skin.
Essential oils can damage certain synthetic fabrics.
Keep out of the reach of children.
By respecting good hygienic conditions during preparation and placed away from light and heat, these products will keep at least 6 months (and more than 12 months, if kept in the refrigerator).

 

RECIPE NO. 2 WITH FLORAL WATER AND BEAUTY OIL (BIPHASIC)

Materials List


 

  •  A 120 ml blue bottle and its spray cap 

 

Ingredients


 

Phase A (aqueous)

  •  75 ml Labrador Tea OR Witch Hazel Floral Water 

 

Phase B (oily)

  •  15 drops of Lavender Fine Essential Oil
  •  15 drops of Geranium Bourbon Essential Oil
  •  15 drops of Peppermint Essential Oil
  •  15 drops of Lemon Eucalyptus or Citronella Ceylon Essential Oil
  •  4 tsp of Jojoba Beauty Oil (20ml) 

 

Preparation


 

  •  Measure and prepare phases A & B separately.
  •  Pour phase A (aqueous) into the 100 ml bottle.
  •  Add the mixture of phase B (oily) to phase A (aqueous) into the 120 ml bottle.
  •  Shake well before each use. 

 

Makes about 100 ml 

 

Precautions & recommendations


 

Keep out of reach of children.
